Sweet sorghum research progress (Southeast Research Station, Franklinton, LA) - June 16, 2008

Field was sprayed right after planting with 1 quart/acre of Atrazine as a pre-emergence herbicide. After sweet sorghum grew to 2 inches, 1 quart/acre of Atrazine and 1 quart/acre of Dual were applied. However, frequent rain until mid-May in Franklinton caused heavy weed pressure from crab grass, nutsedge and Johnson grass.
