Join 4-H at the LSU vs. North Texas football game on Sept. 13, 2008. A 4-H presentation promoting the Louisiana 4-H Centennial will be held in Tiger Stadium just prior to the game at 6:30PM. Please get to the stadium in time to show support for the 4-H alumni and 4-H students that will be on the field recognizing the 100th anniversary of 4-H in Louisiana. You will also enjoy the 4-H video featuring testimonials from outstanding 4-H alumni including Kent Desormeaux, the 2008 Kentucky Derby winner and Lieutenant General Russell Honore, a retired Army General from Pointe Coupee Parish that helped support Louisiana parishes during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.4-H members, alumni and staff from across the state will be present on the field during the game for a special presentation.
Due to the hurricane the 4-H Tailgate program and Chancellor's Centennial Health Walk have been cancelled.
Directions and Parking Information
With the cancellation of the 4-H Tailgate Party, the Louisiana 4-H Foundation will not hold the Centennial Raffle drawing as scheduled on September 13, 2008. With authority from the Louisiana Department of Revenue - Office of Charitable Gaming, the drawing has been rescheduled for 11:00am on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. The drawing will be held at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport, LA in conjunction with the Louisiana State Fair Junior Livestock Show & Sale. Extended ticket sales will be available through October 29, 2008.
