The Farmer of the Year banquet is an invitation-only event presented by the Louisiana Agri-News Network, Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation, the LSU AgCenter and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. The purpose of the event is to recognize three individuals who have made outstanding contributions to agriculture in Louisiana.
